Membership


Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® seeks women who will promote, uphold, and extend its policies and programs. In return, the Sorority is a conduit through which individuals can grow and develop, personally and professionally, while simultaneously providing “Service to All Mankind.”


Reactivation

Members who have been inactive for more than one year and wish to reactivate with Delta Mu Omega, please contact us at akadeltamuomega1908@gmail.com to obtain and complete the Graduate Chapter Reactivation Form. The form should be submitted to the chapter, along with a money order/certified check with all the appropriate reactivation/reinstatement fees, chapter dues, fees, and assessments, where applicable.


Transfer/Visit Us

Transferring into Delta Mu Omega from another chapter or as a general member is as easy as one, two, three!

Members who want to transfer are welcome to attend a meeting to meet our chapter members and learn more about DMO. For more information about transfers please check with your previous chapter. 

Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month (except July and August) at 10:00 a.m. Please contact us at akadeltamuomega1908@gmail.com


Attire: Business (no jeans)

Additional Info: Visiting Sorority members must present appropriate membership documentation prior to admittance.

Forms of acceptable identification include:

  1. Current or expired financial card
  2. Official certificate of sorority membership
  3. Transfer verification form from the respective chapter with required signatures
  4. An Ivy Leaf showing the member’s financial card number and address label


Prospective Members

Candidacy for membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® graduate chapters is open to women of high ethical and scholastic standards who have completed of a baccalaureate degree, with at least a C+ cumulative average, or a graduate or professional degree (Ph.D., M.D., J.D., etc.) from an accredited college or university. Graduate Membership is by invitation only and may not be solicited. Please see the International website for more information at www.aka1908.com. We welcome all to attend our public community events.
